Introducing Meal Planning in Flavorish
You’ve been saving recipes, organizing collections, and discovering new favorites. Now it’s time to put them to work.Flavorish’s new Meal Planning feature turns your recipe library into a flexible, visual plan you can actually cook from; week by week, day by day.In this blog, we’ll walk through what you can do with meal plans, how they work, and how they fit into the Flavorish experience you already know.
The Meal Plan Listing Page
The Meal Plan listing page is your starting point. Here you can see all your meal plans at a glance and manage them in one place. From the listing page, you can:
- Add a new meal plan when you click "+".
- Rename any plan if your focus changes (for example, from “January Dinners” to “Winter Rotation”)
- Delete a plan you no longer need
- Sort plans alphabetically or by most recently updated
Meal plans stay in sync with your recipes. Any updates you make to a recipe’s image, title, source, or total time automatically appear everywhere that recipe is used in your plans.
How to Add Your First Meal Plan
When you tap into a meal plan, you’ll see a weekly view from Sunday through Saturday. From there, you can start building your plan.
- Step 1: Tap + to create a new meal plan.
- Step 2: Name your meal plan.
- Step 3: Select the date you’re planning for.
- Step 4: Choose a meal type: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snack, or Any.
- Step 5: Add one or more recipes to that date. You can add multiple recipes at once, perfect for full days (breakfast + lunch + dinner) or batch cooking sessions.
- Step 6: See recipes by meal type and cook them all with Cooking Mode; just tap “Start cooking.”
Repeat this for the whole week, month, or any time frame that works for you.
Note: You can add the same recipe as many times as you like, which is ideal for leftovers, meal prep repeats, or weekly staples.

Plan by Week
Meal planning is often weekly, so we built smooth week-based navigation into the details page. You can:
- Switch between weeks using the navigation controls
- Or open the calendar from the date range tab and jump directly to another week
- Add recipes to any week, past or future; for vacation menus, holidays, or monthly rotations
Adjust How You View and Add Recipes
Display mode toggle: Switch between a visual grid and a compact list to scan and adjust your week however you like. The same toggle is available in the recipe search modal while you’re adding recipes to your plan.
Search for recipes: Search by dish or ingredient, select multiple recipes at once, and add them to a specific date or week in a single step. You can also switch between grid and list views inside the modal.
Share Your Meal Plan
Meal plans are often shared whether it’s with family, roommates, partners, or friends. Sharing works just like sharing collections in Flavorish.
- Step 1: Open your meal plan from the listing page.
- Step 2: Tap the share icon in the top-right corner.
- Step 3: Enter their Flavorish email, add an optional nickname, then share or copy the link.

Recipients can:
- See all recipes in the plan
- View dates, weeks, and meal types
- Browse the full structure of the plan
Shared meal plans are view-only for recipients:
- They can’t add recipes
- They can’t rename, edit, or delete the plan
This keeps the owner in control while still letting everyone else see what’s planned, perfect for coordinating shopping, aligning on dietary needs, or simply answering “What’s for dinner?”
Meal planning is one of the most powerful ways to turn recipe inspiration into real meals on the table. With Flavorish’s new Meal Planning feature, your saved recipes are no longer just a collection; they’re a living schedule you can cook from, iterate on, and share. So plan ahead and get started with Flavorish's Meal planner.
